It's Love The rain beat harder than it did a second ago. They stood holding hands as their cold hands grasped on the others remaining body heat. The sun had already set and the cold was setting in. Black clouded the once blue sky and the stars shined until the rain fell. The sound of cars and trunks rushing through the rain is heard and the pulsing sounds of the woman’s heart rate rang in her ears. She kept her eyes closed and concentrated on the breathing next to her. The man held her hand tighter, brushing his rough thumb against the outside of her hand. It was soothing, but it didn’t stop her heart rate from slowing down. They were dry, but even the shelter above them didn’t stop some rain from entering their domain. It dripped, water dropping onto the women’s chapped lips, cascading down her chin then done her neck, lacing them with Goosebumps. She flinched when lips touched her face, her lashes fluttering opening in an instant panic. Turning her head, she look
We Will Meet Again She ran and ran, her feet meeting the earth with a quick thumps. Pulse quickening like a wild fire, it was suffocating, terrifying and painful. Lightning blue eyes scanned around the surroundings. It felt like she was running in circles, everything looked the same, even as she ran faster. A heavy growl echoed behind her, when she finally saw the clearing. It was bright, calming, and beautiful. It was a ray of pure beauty, singing for her arrival. A sweet sigh of songs pranced into her ears and a breath of worry left her throat. Her eyes watered in happiness, a single teardrop fell to the crunchy ground and she took her last step out of the brown and green heaven that gave her so much freight. Her legs felt numb as her feet came to a halt, she looked behind her to give one last bid farewell as she moved forward into the warm summer’s breeze. At last she closed the gate, locking it with no regret, a twang of pain pierced her heart, as she looked at the man now trapped in the

the summer heat lays limp in the city’s lap,
breathing long oppressive breaths.
it does not even lift its lolling head
to bark out hoarse indignancy
when a strange man brings the mail.
there might be heavy rain today,
brought by some swollen, murmuring cloud.
the world will whirl and howl,
then settle down,
to die a little more.
o, quickly, love,
press your back against the wall in fear
as the universe spreads her arms and
shuts her eyes
and starts to summon the end of all things.
come with me
to the place of windows full of speechless afternoon
hot windy whispers of half-formed solutions and resolutions,
sweltering sunlit meadows we’ll wander and then forget.
o quickly, love,
let’s to the season of forgetting
and unwind all of our harshest memories
and fill the universe’s mouth
with mute cotton.
i’ll whisper these words to you some evening
with all my exigency in the hand i rest on your arm—

Brightened by only starlight
Field & Sea.
Gravity is only an afterthought
Hilltops become ladders into the sky while
Inferior planets stare down upon the Earth
Jealous of such simplicity yet contemplating grandeur.
Keppler only thought of science
Linear, elliptical, movement…
Mythology had no such thoughts
Neptune & Nebulas both inhabit space
Orbiting across the lonely darkness
Probably never worried about mundane things
Questioning their existence
Right now or for all eternity such as us.
Shooting stars make us joyful while
Terminator is an otherworldly spectacle
Unknown to all those hidden in their houses
Various stars await us outside
Waiting to play like we did before
Xenagogue & inviting
Youthful but ancient curiosities.
Zenith induced euphoria continues until daylight…
